Description: Castor seed oil (Ricinus communis) is a traditional remedy for a wide variety of ailments. Nature’s Shield unrefined castor oil is certified organic, sustainable and cold-press extracted in order to preserve it's naturally derived qualities.

1.  It soothes dry skin. Nature’s Shield cold pressed castor seeds yield superior quality oil which is excellent as a moisturiser.
2.  It can be applied on skin, hair, nails and joints .A very light coat on your eyebrows and hair acts as a glossy serum.
3. Castor oil is also one of the few carrier oils that can be used as an emulsifying agent. The cosmetics industry utilises castor oil in creams & lotions, body butters, soaps and massage products. Try a skin patch test prior to application.

Nature's Shield have now implemented a plastic-free supply chain programme for organic castor oil. This means our raw material (organic castor oil) comes in steel drums from overseas , is then stored in stainless steel tanks and gets filled into glass bottles using Australian-made filling machines. So both our glass retail bottles and supply chain are plastic-free to take better care of you and the environment.

To perform an allergy patch test with an oil, dab a few drops of oil to the elbow, wrist or knee and wait 24–48 hours to check for any signs of irritation or allergic reaction.

 A: Yes, all our oils are available in glass bottles .

Q: Does castor oil have a strong smell?
A: Any high quality unrefined, cold pressed raw castor oil has a thick nutty/earthy smell which may vary as it is a natural product. 
If you want to disguise the fragrance try adding few drops of essential oils like rosemary or peppermint before applying.
